Benjamin Whiteshield (Clinton, OK: 2012) was a 34-year-old man (Cheyenne & Arapahoe) with a psychiatric disability. Whiteshield’s family took him to the police station to get help during a delusional episode. While he was at the station, the police shot and killed him. The police claim that Whiteshield was armed with a wrench, but there is no report that he threatened the police.
