Christian Hall

Christian Hall was 19 years old and recently broke up with his girlfriend. He was feeling depressed and was contemplating suicide. Police were called when someone reported a distraught man with a gun on a bridge. When police arrived to the overpass of Interstate 80 in Hamilton Township, they asked Hall to drop his weapon. According to police, Hall became uncooperative and pointed the gun in the direction of officers. State police then fired, killing Hall. However, a video of the event was released online which showed Hall having his hands in the air when police began shooting. Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, who has been representing George Floyd’s family, will be representing Hall’s family during litigation.
