(Vancouver, Canada) Pierce was 29-years old and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. On Feb. 28th, he had stopped taking his medication. Later that day he was in public with his BB guns. Police were called and asked Pierce to drop the guns. After he refused, he was fatally shot. Police claimed that the BB guns looked like actual firearms in their statement.
