NYPD officer allowed to keep pension after murdering son

Michael Valva was apart of the NYPD before he resigned. Michael resigned 9 months after being charged with murder for his son Thomas (charges still pending). Thomas is eight years old and diagnosed with autism. “Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Hope Schwartz Zimmerman without due process or supporting evidence against Ms. Zubko-Valva, gave custody of her three children, including Tommy, to Michael Valva, even though a prior judge in the case had barred Valva from overnight visits”. Prior to this hearing, Michael had a three-year track record of torturing, beating, and starving his children. Shortly after being put into Michael’s custody, Thomas and his brother Anthony began scavenging through trash cans for food due to starvation. Thomas was then left in a non-heated garage without blankets for several nights. It was 19 degree outside when Thomas froze to death. According to lawyers, Michael will be allowed to keep his pension because he resigned. More of this story here.
