(Mobile, AL) Ray Anson Mitchell was 37 years old diagnosed with schizophrenia. Ray and his cousin would hang out at his aunt’s house. After Ray’s cousin moved out, Ray would still visit the same house. He wasn’t able to process that his cousin no longer lived there. Ray was visiting the house again and was asked to leave. He refused, so police were called. Accordingly to the call Ray’s aunt told dispatchers that Mitchell was non-threatening, but mentally ill and that he needed to leave. When police arrived, Ray ran away. The policed chased and fatally shot Ray Anson Mitchell.
