(Pasquotank, NC) Andrew Brown was fatally shot by police on April 21st. Brown was killed in his car by deputies who were serving a warrant for his arrest. Since the shooting, protestors have gathered in the streets of Elizabeth City everyday for the past 40 nights. Since the shooting of Andrew Brown, North Carolina residents have been paying attention to the case. Pasquotank County District Attorney Andrew Womble said that none of the involved officers will be criminally charged. More than half of North Carolinians surveyed said the state should end the policy of qualified immunity, and almost 60 percent support further scrutiny and restrictions on police use of deadly force.
