(Epping, Australia) Timothy Atkins is a 32-year-old man with psychiatric disabilities. On September 12, 2020, he went to the Northern Hospital Epping for mental health treatment. When his treatment was delayed, he smashed a hospital door and went walking into traffic. A police car sped up and hit him. Police officers then starting kicking in the head while he was down. He is now in induced coma. A criminal probe is ongoing. The police officer who hit him with the car has had his driving privileges revoked and the police officer who kicked in the head has been suspended.
